SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) -- Two Sherman police officers are getting a lot of attention on social media for helping a mother change her flat tire.

Ariel Holley got a flat tire on Highway 75 Saturday night and posted about it on Facebook because two officers stopped to change it for her.

So far, the post has over 100 shares on the social media site.

"I kind of felt something on my tire," Holley said. "I drove a little way, got on 75 and realized I was having a blow out."

Holley and her four young sons were on their way home from Dallas when it happened.

"At first I thought they were going to give me a ticket but they were really nice," Holley said.

Holley's dad, Ron Holley, says he is thankful for the kindhearted officers and that his family wasn't hurt.

"I was very worried about my daughter being on the side of the highway," Ron Holley said. "These officers doing this at this Christmas holiday just means so much to us."

The officers didn't ask for the recognition but residents took to social media giving them a shout out for their dedication.

"They were very helpful," Holley said. "Very sweet and super nice."
