Sherman restaurant resurrects health inspection grade from F to A

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- Tokyo Hibachi and Sushi received an "A" inspection this past week.

The restaurant failed its October health inspection after inspectors found roaches crawling around, leaky pipes, and toxic chemicals next to food, among other things.

Tokyo Hibachi and Sushi owner Mike Kim said he has been kicking efforts into high gear, introducing stricter cleaning rules and replacing the head kitchen manager.

"It's great everybody worked hard its not just one person everybody's working together to continue having an A," Kim said.

Kim added that he is working to continue proving to the health department -- and customers -- that they are making things right.
