Silo students seriously injured in crash

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three Silo High School students were seriously injured in a crash in Bryan County.

It happened on Folsom road, two miles north of Durant before five Monday evening.

Troopers say a Jeep Cherokee with three 16-year-old male Silo students inside was headed west when it drifted left of center, swerved to miss an oncoming car and went off the roadway.

Officers say the Jeep rolled three times before coming to a stop and when it did, one of the passengers was ejected and another partially ejected.

They were flown to a Plano hospital and admitted in stable condition with injuries to most of their bodies.

Neither passenger was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver was taken to TMC and admitted there in stable condition with many injuries.
