Troopers say there are no injuries reported in a single plane landing gone wrong at North Texas Regional Airport in Grayson County.
Troopers now say a mechanical malfunction is believed to be the cause of the landing that shut down one runway of Perrin field for several hours just before six.
They say 71-year-old Roderick Tatchio was alone in the 1961 single-engine plane.
He wasn't hurt.
The plane is registered to a Sherman architecture firm with the same name.
Troopers say the switch for the landing gears was engaged at the time of the crash but they did not deploy.
