DENISON, Tex. (KXII) - Severe weather season is just around the corner and Grayson county emergency management is helping residents to prepare.
The annual SKYWARN class will be held at Grayson College at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The SKYWARN program is made of local volunteers who provide reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
The class, which is free to the public, will teach residents about severe weather and train them in storm spotting.
Representatives from the Grayson County Office of Emerency Management, National Weather Service and local meteorologists will be on hand.
