Storms cause flooding, road closures on Texoma roadways

(KXII) - Heavy rain from a storm moving across Texoma has caused roadways to flood.

Kingston, Oklahoma

State Highway 131 is closed in Wardville, Oklahoma.

In Johnston County, SH-7 is closed east of SH-99 due to damage from flooding. Officials say to use US-377 south to SH-22 east to SH-48A then north on SH-48.

In Coal County, Cr 1640, CR 1650, Glass Road, Marcum Road, Pine and Legal Road and Sandman Road are closed due to high water until further notice.

Pontotoc Emergency Manager Chad Letellier says CR 3593 from CR 1710 to 1730 and CR 1730 from Highway 99/377 East to CR 3593 is covered with 10 to 18 inches of water.

In Coal County, a large amount of water on State Highway 48 in Tupelo is making driving in the area treacherous.

High waters were spotted around 3 p.m. along Highway 32 west of downtown Kingston. More flooding was spotted around 3:30 p.m. along U.S. 377 and Highway 32.
