Another mural is in the works in downtown Denison, and this one is honoring a hometown hero.
The latest work of art is of retired airline captain Chesley Sullenberger, better known as Sully.
He's known for the 2009 emergency plane landing in the Hudson River after both engines were disabled, saving everyone on board.
Sully was born and raised in Denison and played in the band at Denison High School.
He even picked out a quote for this mural, being painted by local artist Sydney Metcalf.
"When he was in Denison, he was just another regular person. He wasn't a superhero like we think of him now. And so we're just very pleased to be able to honor him," Denison Main Street director Donna Dow said.
The mural is expected to be complete by the end of the summer.
