Teen dies after Love Co. crash

MARIETTA, Okla. (KXII) - A Burneyville teenager involved in a crash in Love County Sunday evening has died.

Troopers say a 17-year-old girl was driving southbound on State Highway 96 near SH 32 west of Marietta around 7:17 p.m. when she swerved and overcorrected, causing the pickup to roll approximately four times.

The driver was ejected 75 feet and transported by Air Evac to Medical City Hospital in Denton. She died Monday afternoon from her injuries.

The passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was treated for minor hand injuries at the scene.

Troopers say neither seatbelt was in use.

The incident is under investigation.
