TUPELO, Okla. (KXII) - A Coal County teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a crash Wednesday evening.
Troopers say a 16-year-old was driving a pickup west on County Road 1650 around 5:20 p.m. when he took a curve too fast and overcorrected, causing his truck to roll.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected 30 feet. He was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital with head and leg injuries.
The passenger, a 13-year-old boy, was not injured.
Troopers say the cause of the crash was the speed on the curve.
