Texas schools, districts get 2019 report cards

AUSTIN, Tex. (KXII) - While Thursday is the first day back for many kids, it's report card day for Texas school districts.

The Texas Education Agency has released its 2019 Accountability Ratings for every district and campus in the state.

Here in Texoma, Bells, Gunter, Tioga, Savoy and Van Alstyne ISDs all got an "A" rating.

Sherman, Denison, and Paris ISDs received “B”s.

Bonham and Gainesville ISDs got “C”s.

Sherman's Wakefield Elementary was the only local school that received a failing grade.
