Texoma hospitals reducing, suspending visitation

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - Hospitals in Texoma are changing their visitation policies as COVID-19 continues to spread.

AllianceHealth has changed visitation hours to 12 p.m. through 6 p.m. for both Durant and Madill locations. Visitors will be limited to immediate family or significant other over the age of 18.

Entrance for the Durant location will be limited to Outpatient Admitting, pre-scheduled surgeries or outpatient appointments and the ER. Entry for the Madill location is limited to the ER. All visitors will be screened before allowed entry.

Wilson N Jones in Sherman has changed visiting hours to 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Only one 'essential' visitor is allowed per patient. The hospital defines an essential visitor as government personnel, designated caregiver, patient family member and clergy. All visitors will be subjected to screening.

WNJ will allow additional family members for patients at the end of life.

Texoma Medical Center will be suspending all in-person visitation with limited critical exceptions. All community health programs are postponed.
