CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - Over the weekend the Carter County Sheriff's Office and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics arrested three people and seized a pound of meth and about $1,600 cash.
Sheriff Chris Bryant says after a 72 hour long investigation they arrested Hallie Crawford, David Stanford and Joseph Villemarette Saturday morning.
Bryant says the trio were in route to a drug deal when law enforcement stepped in and was able to stop their vehicle right off 12th street near I - 35, where a K9 sniffed out the drugs.
"It just shows you the continued effort and the relationships we have with the surrounding agencies and the state agency continues to pay off," Sheriff Chris Bryant said.
All three are facing charges of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs.
Bryant says the amount of meth confiscated estimates to about $40,000 in street value.
