SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - Three people have filed to run for three empty spots on the Sherman City Council election in November.
Candidates could start filing for election last week.
So far, Mayor David Plyler is re-running, Parks and Rec Advisory Board member Sholdon Daniels is seeking the Place 1 spot, and Joe Gilbert, former Planning and Zoning commission member, is going after Place 2.
Candidates have until August 20 to file for election.
Anyone who lives in the Sherman city limits can file for a city council spot.
