Murray State teacher killed in crash

A teacher at a local college was killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Johnston County, Oklahoma.

Kendra Parker, 33, is listed in the staff directory as a math instructor at Murray State College.

Troopers said the crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 377 near State Highway 7 West five miles north of Tishomingo.

According to a troopers Parker was southbound in a sedan when she traveled left of center and struck a northbound dump truck.

Parker was pronounced dead at the scene.

The dump truck driver was not injured.

Troopers are investigating what caused the crash.
