Trial begins for man accused in Denison murder, identity theft

Christopher Harrell

GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - A jury trial for a man accused of murder and using the victim's identity began Monday.

Christopher Harrell was arrested in October 2017 for murder and identity fraud.

Denison police say they found 54-year-old Michael Lindsey dead in a home on Gandy and Maurice two days after he was reported missing.

Police say Harrell had taken Lindsey's truck and used his ID the Saturday Lindsey was reported missing.

Officials say Lindsey suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Police allege Harrell was housesitting for a friend, and invited Michael Lindsey over.

Harrell faces up to life in prison.
