ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - Police say a father and son are lucky to be alive after driving their truck off an icy overpass.
It happened after 10 Saturday morning on Highway 199 near the Valero Refinery in Ardmore.
Ardmore Police Sgt. Brice Wooly said a man was driving with his 8-year-old son and lost control on the ice.
Then they hit a car headed north, drove off the guard rail and rolled 30 feet below the bridge.
"Drivers just need to be very cautious of any kind of bridge or overpass that would collect participation that will get air underneath it," Wooly said.
Both people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver and passenger in the other car were not hurt.
