Two arrested in Carter County with 26 grams of meth

CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - Two people from Northeast Oklahoma are behind bars in Carter County for drug trafficking.

Dewayne Kendall and Lydia Barnett, both from Kansas, Oklahoma, were charged with trafficking and possessing a firearm while committing a felony.

Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant says a week-long investigation led to their arrest at a house on Monday.

Deputies and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics found 26 grams of meth and a rifle.

A court date is schedules for February.
