WAURIKA, Okla. (KXII) - Highway 70 in Jefferson County has reopened after a large piece of equipment fell from a trailer and shut down the highway Thursday.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the incident happened around noon Thursday on U.S. Highway 70 about eight miles west of Waurika. They say a crane had to be brought in to lift the object onto another trailer.
The highway reopened around 1 p.m. Friday.
What caused the equipment to come off the truck is unknown.
