Van Alstyne Police Chief recognized for 25 years of service

VAN ALSTYNE, Tex. (KXII) During Tuesday's council meeting, Van Alstyne Police Chief Tim Barnes was awarded a plaque for his commitment to protecting the city.

Barnes has lived in Van Alstyne since 1992 and says he's thankful for the community support.

He has over 2,400 hours of law enforcement training and has been Chief for the past 6 years.
