Whitesboro pastors' home behind church burns down

WHITESBORO, Tex. (KXII) - A pastor and his wife are left without a place to live after their home behind their Whitesboro church burned down Friday.

Michael and Chris Davis preach and sing at the New Beginnings Church in Whitesboro.

Their trailer home, porch and shop are all behind the church.

On Friday night, an electrical short started a fire. It quickly spread and ruined their home and shop-- but only melted some panels of the church.

The two lost most of their belongings including musical equipment for the church and their newly built floral shop.

Both tell us the community support has been overwhelming.

"The Red Cross came and helped us out-- The community has been amazing. It's all replaceable," Mike Davis said.

Nobody was hurt.
