Winter weather impacting travel on Texoma roads

Roads and highways are becoming impacted by sleet and snow accumulation in parts of Texoma Saturday.

In Grayson County there are many reports of crashes throughout the county, several on US-82 between Sherman and Whitesboro.

Roads all across Grayson County are quickly becoming impacted. Stay home. If you must be out drive slowly and with caution.

Frozen precipitation is starting to fall across the county. If you must be on the roads please slow down, watch for ice, and increase distance between vehicles.

There are also reports of slick roads and bridges in Bryan County.

Bryan County Roads are slick. Stay home if you do not need to be on the roads. No need to risk it.

There are also reports of slick roads in Fannin County Saturday morning.

Travel is discouraged, but if you do have to get out reduce speeds, keep a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of you, and if you do start to skid turn into the direction you are skidding to regain traction.
