RHOME, Tex. (KXII) - Deputies rescued four children at a home near Rhome, Texas, on Tuesday.
Deputies say they were responding to a domestic violence call when they found the children malnourished and covered in waste. Two children had been locked in a dog kennel.
Deputies say there was food inside the home, but it was locked up so that the children couldn't reach it.
The children are ages five, four, three and one. They are in the custody of Child Protective Services.
The two adults are charged with four counts of child endangerment.
