Woman dead after crash in Marshall Co.

ENOS, Okla. (KXII) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a young woman has died after being thrown from her car.

Troopers say it happened on Post Office Rd, just south of Williams Farm Road near the community of Enos in Marshall County around 6:25 p.m.

They say 26-year-old Kayla Cox of Alvarado, Texas, was driving south when she departed the roadway, causing her vehicle to roll. Cox was ejected from the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Cox was not wearing a seat belt.

OHP Trooper Heath Davidson says the cause of the crash was the driver going too fast on that stretch of road.

"It's a speed limit of 45 miles per hour unless otherwise posted. So it can be 45 or under. But it's posted 45 for a reason," said Davidson.
