JOHNSTON COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says speed caused a fatal ATV wreck in Johnston County.
Troopers say the ATV wreck happened about a mile south and 1.5 miles east of Bromide. OHP says it unclear of the exact date or time the wreck occurred.
According to OHP, a Polaris Ranger ATV driven by 22-year-old Gabrielle Aguirre of Carrollton, Texas was going north on a private road at a high rate of speed, when the ATV departed the road to the right, Aguirre tried to overcorrect to the left, which caused the vehicle to flip and come to rest on the driver.
Aguirre was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say she was not wearing a helmet.
