Woman injured after being hit by train in Ardmore

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - (UPDATED: 4/4/18 @ 9:55 p.m.)

A woman went into surgery Wednesday after being hit by a train in Ardmore.

It happened just after 4 p.m on the tracks near Day Concrete and Block Company; just north of Sam Noble Parkway.

Police say the conductor told them she was sitting on the tracks when he tried to alert her by blowing the horn. They say she tried to get out of the way last minute, but it was too late.

The 38-year-old woman- who's identity isn't being released at this time- was flown to a Denton, Texas hospital.


Ardmore police say a woman was hit by train Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on the tracks located near Day Concrete & Block Company off Sam Noble Parkway and Refinery Road.

We're told the woman was airlifted to a hospital to be treated for her injuries.
