This week's A+ Athlete is Daisy Rosas of Madill High School.
Daisy is a star on the track, and on the field. She's a 4-time state qualifier in cross country, a 2-year state qualifier in track, and she's a key member of the Madill soccer team.
Daisy is also a cheerleader, the drum major in the band, and she was the homecoming queen.
"I just try my best," said Rosas. "I have this mentality that if I don't try my best, then I won't get better. If I don't get better, then what is the point?"
"When you try to build a big program, it will take more than one kid," said Madill Cross Country coach Cale Eidson. "To have someone like her who is going to show up and do everything you ask, and exemplify everything you want out of everyone else, it's huge."
In the classroom Daisy is just as busy. She's a member of the National Honors Society, she's at the top of her class with 3.96 G.P.A. she's a volunteer at the elementary school, an after school tutor, and stays busy in her church as well.
"She is just the type of kid that is always happy," said Madill English teacher Traci Duvak. "She never has any kind of down time, but she always has an incredible energy that she brings to our school, and every team she is involved in."
"Sometimes I go home, and I'm just so tired from everything, because usually I have three things going on at one time," said Rosas. "I stay busy all the time, I guess I'm just used to it."
