This week's A+ Athlete is Justice Hartman of Turner High School. Justice is a multi sport athlete, competing in basketball, baseball, and his biggest passion, golf.
Justice has qualified for the state golf tournament in every year so far, including a third place finish as an individual, but he's hungry for more.
"It's just a tribute to his mentality, and where he wants to be," said Turner baseball coach Shane Wolfe. "He doesn't settle for making the state tournament, he wants to be a champion. He finished third last year. Third wasn't good enough. He wants to finish first. I think that's what drives him."
"The little bit of success you see in yourself every time you go out and play, it really helps you get through those days that are cold," said Justice Hartman. "The small milestones and goals you have to set for yourself to keep coming back and working hard, it makes it all worth it."
Justice aces more than just a par 3. He has a 4.0 G.P.A. he's in the Beta Club, and he's a member of the Turner High School Academic team. Setting an example for the future falcons.
"I appreciate him, his character, I appreciate his willingness to not take the easy way out," said Turner science teacher Ryan Eakins. "Even as a senior, he has continued to take chemistry. And his characteristics will carry him well through life."
"I want to be a good example for those younger class man," said Hartman. "You can be gone every day, and still maintain your G.P.A. at a 4.0. Make sure all your stuff is turned in every day. Have a good relationship with your teachers. That's what's real important in life."
After graduation, Justice will continue his golf career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
