A+ Athlete: Kacie Clower, Caddo

This week's A+ Athlete is Kacie Clower of Caddo High School.

Kacie is a four year starter on the basketball team, a 4 year starter as a short stop in fast pitch and slow pitch, and she was All-Conference in both sports.

"She's a quiet leader, she leads by example," said Caddo softball coach Jason Tuett. "Other girls tend to navigate to her, she's not going to say a whole lot, but she's very dependable, and she's going to give it everything she has on the field or on the basketball court."

"If you play hard, that's the best you can do," said Kacie Clower. "If your not real talented, playing hard will get you where you need to go."

Kacie is also a super star in the classroom, she has a 4.0 G.P.A. she is the president of the National Honor Society, and she will graduate as the Valedictorian of her class.

"My parents are very strict about my grades, it's grades over sports with my parents," said Clower. "If you work hard at something, it'll work itself out in the end. I just give everything I do my all."

"She's pretty focused in everything she does, whether it's sports, or academics, or showing her cows," said Caddo Geography teacher Pam Wingfield. "You ask her to do something, she's going to do it, and you don't have to worry about it getting done. I've been blessed to be around her."

When's she's not hitting homeruns, swishing 3's, or making straight A's, Kacie spends her time volunteering in the Caddo community.

After graduation, Kacie will enroll at Southwestern Oklahoma State to pursue a career as a pharmacist.
