Bells softball gets past Prairiland, honors coaches

The Bells Lady Panthers beat Prairiland 10-1 and honored coaches Kristina Stephens and Lisa Johnson after the game for their quick rise to 100 wins at the school.

It took just over 4 seasons for Stephens and Johnson to lead Bells to not only 100 victories, but 2 state championships as well.

"It's a huge testament to the town of Bells," Stephens said. "They have always supported us. Just for them to continue to come out and support us, it's a team effort."

"It just goes back to our coaching staff," Johnson said. "We all work together, and that's how all of our girls feed off of each other too."

"Us as players, we usually get most of the recognition," pitcher Cheyenne Floyd said. "The coaches are so great. They bring joy and happiness to every practice and every game. It is just great to have them here."
