Byng standout Prater drafted by St. Louis Cardinals
Former Byng Pirates star Levi Prater was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the third round of the MLB draft.
Prater was the Class 4A player of the year in 2017 after going 10-0 on the mound and hitting 407 at the plate. He led Byng to the state championship that season.
Prater went on to pitch at Oklahoma and had a great career with the Sooners. Now he goes to the Cardinals organization with the 93rd overall pick of the draft.
