John Caraway has decided to step down as the head coach of the Kingston Redskins after seven seasons.
Caraway led the Redskins to the post-season in each of his last 7 years with the school. He also had a two year stint as the head coach there in 1999 and 2000.
The Redskins made their deepest playoff run under Caraway two years ago, when they reached the regional quarterfinals in 2015.
"It was just time," Caraway said. "A football coach knows when it's time, and for me, that time is now."
Caraway will continue to be a part of the Kingston school district. He will be the assistant principal at Kingston High School.
He leaves the program in great shape. 19 starters are expected to return from last year's playoff team.
