Denison swimmer Lindsay Looney will head to the UIL state swimming meet to defend her gold medals this weekend.
Looney has already won gold 5 times in Austin, with 1 silver medal. She will now try to 4-peat in the 200 IM, and 3-peat in the 100 fly this weekend.
Looney's run in swimming has been one of the dominant athletic careers in Texoma history. Now, she will swim for the final time at the high school level, looking to finish her career with 2 more state titles.
"I'm not only representing myself, but I'm representing my family, I'm representing Denison, and I'm representing all my friends and my community that has supported me the whole way," Looney said. "It is amazing to be able to do that."
