High school athletes are back on campus in Oklahoma, with. several area schools opening their doors to allow student-athletes to work out.

This is an important summer for the Durant Lions. It's the first season under new head coach Todd Vargas, who missed out on almost 3 months of coaching his new team.

On Monday, they were able to workout for the first time, and they made sure it was safe for all to return. Coaches wore face-masks, athletes sanitized their hands, and the equipment was sanitized as well.

After months without sports, the team was ready to hit the field.
