Grayson College celebrated their first ever athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony Friday, but took things a step further during their homecoming basketball game the next day.
Bill Brock was one of the members inducted into the inaugural hall of fame, along with former baseball coach Tim Tadlock.
Along with his hall of fame induction, Grayson College announced they would hang a banner with his name on it in the gym, and put his name on the gym floor when it is renovated.
Brock has is the epitome of Texoma, growing up in Durant, and playing college basketball at Grayson, and Southeastern. When his playing days were over, he returned to Durant to coach the boys basketball team for three years.
After leaving Durant, Brock became an assistant coach for the East Central University men's basketball team, before coming back to Grayson as the head coach of the women's basketball team.
In his 13 seasons at Grayson, the Lady Vikings went 371-50 with 10 conference championships, 2 regional championships, and 2 appearances in the national tournament.
He is currently in his 17th season on the Baylor women's basketball coaching staff as an associate coach.
