Gunter prepares for 4th round meeting with Harmony

The Gunter baseball team has been on a roll since the start of the playoffs, playing their best baseball of the season.

The Tigers posted two blowout wins in round 3 last weekend. Now, it's on to Harmony in the regional semi-finals.

"We've been able to score early and score often," head coach Kerry Clement said. "We've got timely hits. They've just been really playing well lately."

"Honestly in district we didn't hit the ball that good," shortstop Bryson Rigsby said. "The playoffs started and we started hitting the ball really good. All through the lineup. one through nine. And just contributing, moving runners over, and timely hits."

"We've got to hit the ball, lay down bunts, don't make errors on the field," outfielder Ethan Watson said. "Just do the little things right. Pitchers throw strikes, and I think we'll be fine."

The series will begin on Thursday in Royse City.
