Former Southeastern Head Coach Ray Richards has been named the head coach at Durant High School.
Richards has spent the past two seasons as an assistant under Randy Matthews with the Lions.
"It's a good feeling," Richards said. "It was kind of a surprise when the position came open. But when it came open, and I had a chance to think about it, I decided that it was something that I really wanted to do."
The former SOSU head coach went 42-52 with the Storm in 9 seasons.
He will lead the Lions at the 5A high school football level now.
