SOSU dedicates baseball field to coach Mike Metheny

For more than 35 years Mike Metheny was the head coach of the Southeastern baseball team, leading them to a national championship in 2000. He then retired in 2017, and now SOSU paid tribute to the great career of coach Metheny.

From this day on, the Ballpark in Durant will now be called Mike Metheny Field. A dedication ceremony was held on the S.O.S.U. campus where many former players, friends, and family came to celebrate the honor.

Coach Metheny finished his career at southeastern with 1,324 wins, which is good for the most in all of division two.
