The Callisburg Lady Cats put together one of the best volleyball seasons in Texoma history with their 2018 state championship.
Callisburg had been to state the previous two years, but in 2018, they were looking for the school's first ever state title in any team sport as they took on Boyd in Garland.
Angela Allen had a tremendous group of seniors leading the way, including her daughter, Skylar Allen, who had 26 kills in the title game, winning the tournament MVP.
Lindsey Bullard was an all-state setter and had 47 assists in the title game. Macie Satterwhite had 20 kills, providing a great balance. Other big contributors included Savanah Hott and Fallon Baucum.
Callisburg won in 4 sets, claiming their first state title, and the first in any team sport at Callisburg.
Several of these athletes would go on to play at the college level, including Allen at South Carolina.
