Former Plainview star Justin Blackmon was one of the most explosive and dynamic football players the Texoma area has ever seen.

Blackmon could catch and run, but it didn't stop there. Blackmon caught 61 passes his senior year, with 14 of them going for touchdowns. He also had 2 rushing touchdowns and returned four interceptions for scores. Plainview went 12-and-1 that year.

He was also a great basketball player, played baseball and ran track at Plainview. He won state in the long jump and placed second in the high jump.

Blackmon went on to a terrific career with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, where he scored 40 touchdowns for the Cowboys. He was drafted in the 1st round of the 2012 NFL draft by Jacksonville and played in the NFL.
