Sports 12 Rewind: Lindsay wins 2007 girls basketball state title

The Lindsay Lady Knights won their first ever state title in girls basketball in 2007 with a win over Sundown.

Chelsea Hermes was running the show, scoring and passing to teammates like Christina Eckart, who had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Eckart was named state tournament MVP.

Hermes also earned all-tournament honors. The junior scored 11 points in the title game. Brittany Anderlee hit double digits with 10. Other key players included Amanda Hess, Kaileigh Hess and Stephanie Neu. The head coach was Don Neu.

Lindsay cut down the nets in Austin with a 43-36 win, bringing home their first state title. Lindsay finished 31-4 on the season.
