Sports 12 Rewind: Sherman Bearcats win 2004 State Quarterfinals

We look back at the 2004 Sherman Bearcats as they advance to the state semifinals with a win over Frenship in the region finals.

The Bearcats took the field at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene looking to get to the state semi-finals for the first time in school history.

Drew Young was the head coach with a solid passing game behind quarterback Trey Carter.

Carter had several capable targets including Terran Ballard and Michael Cowert who both had big games. Carter threw for 435 yards through the air and 4 touchdowns.

The Bearcats won, 36-27, to advance to the state semifinals to play Ennis.
