Sports 12 Rewind: Silo wins first softball state title

The Silo Lady Rebels met up with the Dale Lady Pirates for the third year in a row in the championship, with Dale winning the first two. But this time, was different.

Silo trailed only once in the game, but the deficit was wiped out in the bottom of the first inning.

Starting pitcher Christina Clark had it working in the circle, going all 7 innings, striking out 13, and only allowing three hits and one run.

Lexi McDonlad led the team in the plate, going 2-3. Shay Linn Midgley, Teeronie McCan, Charlie Hampton, and Gracie Lawless all drove in one run a piece, giving them the 4-1 lead.

The Lady Rebels would hold on to the lead, and win their first ever softball state title.
