The Texoma Christian School Lady Eagles will head to the state softball tournament for the third year in a row.
TCS has improved each year at state, but is still looking for a championship. The Lady Eagles finished as semifinalists in 2017, and made it to the finals in 2018. The one thing they do have is experience, which should help them this time around.
"It's really going to help us going into the game against Round Rock Concordia," pitcher Bailey Yale said. "They've never been before and we've gone three times. We're looking for that upper hand."
"All of us want it," shortstop Lauren Erbay said. "If we want it bad enough and we go out there and do what we know how to do, then I think we have a really good chance of becoming the next state champions."
"The momentum is definitely on our side," head coach Ashley Chaffin said. "We'll see if we can keep it going. I think they can see that they can compete with anybody if they play their best."
