The Vanoss Lady Wolves are making their third consecutive appearance in the state tournament this weekend.
Their last two trips to state ended with an exit in the first round, but now seen as a veteran group, the Lady Wolves hope it's third time's the charm.
"This is something we expected to do. I don't say that arrogantly, because a lot of work has been put into this," said Vanoss head coach Jon Hurt. "We have work left to do, the last two years we got beat out in the first round, so not it's time go take care of business."
"I think we have more experience now," said Vanoss forward Lizzy Simpson. "We were underclassmen that were nervous. not anymore."
"We've excited, I think we're way more prepared than we have been for the last two years," said Vanoss forward Emerie Ellis. "we've been working hard, We know what it's like so we're hungry."
Vanoss will face off with Amber-Pocasset in the first round at Mustang. Tipoff is set for 7:00
