Whitesboro hires Cody Fagan as Head Coach and AD

The Whitesboro Bearcats have hired Cody Fagan as their new head coach and athletic director. The school board approved Fagan in a special called meeting on Friday.

Fagan comes from Mildred High School, where he was the head coach for 2 years. He has also had stops as an assistant in Ardmore and Ada. Fagan has been an assistant at Red Oak and Midlothian, where he was the defensive coordinator.

Fagan's Mildred teams went 9-11 during his tenure. That includes a 6-4 playoff team last season.

Fagan replaces Eddie Gill, who led Whitesboro to eight straight playoff appearances.

The new coach was approved with a unanimous 5-0 vote, with one board member not attending the meeting.
