The Seattle Seahawks promote former Whitewright Tiger Tyrone Swoopes to the team's 53-man active roster.
The Seattle Times and Seahawks organization report Swoopes signed on Saturday to the active roster at tight end. In the preseason, Swoopes made his mark with the Seahawks, as he caught seven passes for 69 yards.
Swoopes had been on the Seahawks practice squad this season. He replaces defensive tackle Nazair Jones, who is on injured reserve.
