GAINESVILLE, TX--Gubernatorial candidate, Debra Medina, stopped in Gainesville, Saturday night.
The Cooke County young republicans sponsored the visit which took place at the State Theater.
Medina touched on issues she says are key in her campaign.
She also highlighted differences between herself and current governor Rick Perry.
On stage, Medina said, "The second element of freedom I have said is, gun ownership. And I didn't think we really needed to talk about that in Texas, and then we had the Ft. Hood shooting. The governor moved a million and a half dollars from the state budget into psychological counseling."
Medina's trip on the campaign trail will take her Texas Pride Barbecue in Adkins, Texas, Sunday.
