Fire destroys buildings on Main Street in Tishomingo

TISHOMINGO, Okla.- Two buildings in Tishomingo were destroyed in a fire last night across the street from the Johnston County courthouse.

The fire is believed to have started at the Legacy Pride and Designs screen printing shop on Main Street around 11 p.m.

Several fire departments battled the flames for more than two hours.

The Chickasaw Bank Museum on the west side of the shop received fire damage to the second floor as well as smoke damage. Nacho Mamas, Latte Da coffee shop and Dairy Queen also received smoke damage.

No one is believed to have been in any of the buildings at the time.

Departments on scene included Tishomingo, Ravia, Milburn, Connerville, and Madill fire departments, Johnston County EMS, Johnston County EOC, Tishomingo Police, Lighthorse Police, Johnston County Sheriff's Department, OG&E, ONG, and Tishomingo Public Works.

The Tishomingo Fire Department thanks all the departments, agencies, business owners and its citizens for coming out to help.

The state fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
