Sherman shooting ruled murder-suicide

SHERMAN, Texas -- Police released a statement Tuesday that the shooting Monday at a home in the 2600 block of Rivercrest was an apparent murder-suicide.

Sgt. D.M. Hampton stated, "The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the findings of Sherman Police."

Police said the three victims were, Kelly Russler, 39, Jayden Evans 10, and Laing Russler, 7, were found shot to death inside the home.

A fourth individual, Malachi Russler, 36, was also found dead inside the home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

Stated Hampton, "Based on the information we have, we consider the investigation closed."
