WNJ sale finalized, now Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center

SHERMAN, Texas -- It's official - Sherman's hospital has a new owner and a new name. Alecto Healthcare Services announced today it's completed its acquisition of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ.

Alecto now owns and operates the 237-bed hospital, which has been renamed Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center.

“I am excited to welcome Alecto Healthcare to our community and look forward to the opportunity to grow and prosper WNJ in this challenging healthcare environment while preserving our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve,” says Vance Reynolds, CEO of WNJ.

“Alecto looks forward to working with the physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community served by Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center to ensure the continued success of the hospital,” says Michael Sarrao, Executive Vice-President of Alecto Healthcare Services.

It's the fourth hospital Alecto now owns or manages in the Unites States. Alecto currently manages St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, California, and owns Olympia Medical Center, a 204-bed acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California, as well as Fairmont Medical Center, a 207-bed acute care hospital in Fairmont, West Virginia.
